Don DeAngelis

Head PGA Professional Don DeAngelis has over 20 years of teaching and playing experience. He began competing at a young age and won the Philadephia Jr. Tour in 1969 before going on to play for the University of Pennsylvania. During his career, Don has won more than thirty Philadelphia PGA Tournaments, competed in three major championships, including the U.S. Open and won the Pennsylvania Open in 1985. In the 2004/2005 seasons, Don placed second as Senior Player of the Year for the Philadelphia PGA and was nominated, for the 8th time, as Philadlephia teacher of the year.

Don is now in his 4th season teaching at Wood's Golf Center. He uses the latest in video technology and specializes in private instruction for golfers of all abilities. Don's style of teaching is not based on a single swing for all ages, body types and coordination levels. He believes every golfer, from tour player to beginner, has his or her own unique swing. His teaching philosphy is centered on finding that swing and refining it to be consistant and repetitive.
